My New Year Goals 2018

As 2017 draws to an end and a New Year comes at us in full force, it’s time to start setting some goals for 2018.

2017 has been a very, very challenging year, infact it’s been totally shite!! So many crappy things gone wrong that I now need to focus on the good things to come from the year ahead.

I’ve always been good at setting out goals but sticking to them, well that is a totally different story!

I’m living in hope that by publishing this post and having my goals plastered on the internet will give me more than enough motivation and accountability to actually get things done… I’m counting on you folks to keep my arse in check haha!

My goals for 2018 are:

  • Get self hosting
  • Monetize my blog
  • Get into the habit of regular posting
  • Grow my audience
  • Grow my presence on social media

Life – Family & Friends

  • More outings with the kids
  • Meet up with and contact friends more regularly
  • Make new friends
  • Have a family holiday – destination yet to be decided

  • Create a Miracle Morning routine
  • Exercise/ Yoga
  • Give myself some TLC
  • Make some free time for me
  • Look after my health better

There are quite a few things I want to get through this year and plenty more too that will come to light once I manage to get in a routine of the above.

I will be using the Trello app to keep me on track with my blog and creating some space in my bullet journal for tracking alot of the goals I have set myself.
I’m totally ready to rock the new year!

Let me know in the comments what some of your goals are for 2018. I’ll look forward to reading them =)

Much Love

Laura xx

I love goal related posts, I always find it so motivating. And I really like that you’ve split this up into different categories too. Good luck with them all x

Fantastic post! I read it and lots of the goals you have are similar to mine (regular blogs, spending more time with my children, taking more care of my health!). I’m still creating my list with goals and there are a few things I’d like to learn e.g. more about digital media and online marketing.
Did you create any action plans for these goals? I’ll be doing that this week. I’ve realised that we forget some of the goals sometimes or they get postponed etc if we dont create plans with steps and tasks to follow.
I wrote a blog post about it if you are interested:
Trello – I’ve heard of it but I didnt really pay much attention I think and now you got me interested to check this out! Will you be using this for the first time? Thanks for sharing this!
I’d like to try out some productivity tips to make sure that I can achieve my goals in 2018.
    Happy New Year! πŸ™‚

I’m still fine tuning my action plan for everything such as researching best place to start with yoga as I’ve never done this before. I’m catching up with blogs tomorrow so will add yours to my list. I look forward to reading it 😊

I totally heard myself in this post!
The yoga and the regulating the posting will be your daily fuel. Start them to trust that they will propel you forward.
    Best of Luck in 2018!

Thank you Lena, I’ve tried a few gyms but I usually end up paying the membership and not going πŸ˜‚

  11. It is actually a good idea to write down your goals and what better place can be for it other than your own blog. Keeps you reminded of the goals every time. Growing the audience and social media presence is my goals for this year too. High five on that !! πŸ˜‰

I do admire people who can set goals, I really struggle to do any of them!! I might have to be inspired by your blog goals though and do those instead of personal ones!! Hope you achieve what you hope xx
